Riverside, CA

A new streetscape will unify University Avenue connection from city of Riverside downtown to U.C. Riverside campus improving the visual quality of the avenue and the pedestrian environment. New palms and shade trees will supplement the existing mature palms. New median island with dry stream theme of cobble stone and boulders, bus shelter with mission motif, historic pedestrian scaled lights, and brick accented paving will emphasize Riverside’s heritage. The project was designed by Samuel Kim, while at Gruen associates.
